Lindsey Custom Builders knows the importance of taking the proper steps to ensure a smooth build process. We have outlined this process for you.

STEP ONE

Get Pre-qualified

Obtaining a pre-qualification letter helps you determine the floor plan and amenities that fit your budget. If using a lender, the process can take time so getting this step done ahead of time is smart.
If you are not using a lender, set a budget that you are comfortable with and go from there.

STEP TWO

Select your lot/Design your home

LCB has lots in inventory at all times, all with different features. We can show you ours and many more based on what kind of home you are interested in building. This is a very important step, having your builder involved in picking out your lot will benefit you at budget time.
When your lot is picked out you can work with a designer to draw floor plans.

If you already have a lot, BJ can give you an idea of what kind of house it is best suited for.

STEP THREE

Estimate/Contract

Once your plans are done, LCB will give you an estimate to build that home. Changes to your design can be considered at this point if your desired home is out of your budget. Once the plans and price are agreed upon, LCB will provide you with a contract to build your new dream home.

STEP FOUR

Permits/construction begins!

Building permits from the State of NM and the Association of Angel Fire Property Owners are required before construction begins. The process of obtaining permits is quick and painless! Once construction begins BJ is constantly watching your house go up, looking for missed opportunities or potential problems missed in the design phase.

STEP FIVE

Electrical/Plumbing Layout

Layout electrical and plumbing plan. A walk through with the electrician helps you decide what lighting you need where. We will also get your cabinet and plumbing layout to make sure that you have everything just where you want it.

STEP SIX

Select Finishes

This part can be overwhelming with so many options but we can help as much or as little as you like. As a certified interior decorator Annie can help steer you in the right direction when it comes to paint colors, trim colors, flooring and plumbing and electrical fixtures. While these decisions can take awhile, it is good to get them chosen quickly so that they will be ready to go as soon as they are needed. We will provide you with lists of vendors that we frequent.

STEP SEVEN

Move in!

This is when LCB turns in to your moving company! We know it is hard to find someone to help with the heavy lifting so we are there to help.

Warranty Period
